Staying at Homing Park means you’re never far from beautiful coastal paths, peaceful countryside and woodland walks. Whether you’re looking for a gentle stroll by the sea or a longer walk surrounded by nature, there are plenty of routes to explore nearby.
Seasalter Coastal Walk
Just moments from Homing Park, the coastline at Seasalter is ideal for a relaxing walk with beautiful views across the Swale Estuary towards the Isle of Sheppey. The route follows sections of the Saxon Shore Way, with a mix of sea wall, beach and coastal paths. You can enjoy a shorter stroll or continue towards Whitstable for a longer walk.
Tankerton Slopes & The Street
For a classic Whitstable coastal walk, head towards Tankerton Slopes. The grassy slopes offer lovely views across the Thames Estuary, while at low tide the famous The Street shingle causeway stretches out into the sea. The area is perfect for a leisurely walk and is particularly memorable around low tide, just remember to check the tide times before venturing onto The Street.
Blean Woods National Nature Reserve
If you prefer woodland to the coast, Blean Woods offers a peaceful escape surrounded by ancient woodland and wildlife. There are several nature trails to choose from, ranging from around 1.5km to 13km, making it easy to find a walk to suit your day.
Victory Wood
For something a little different, Victory Wood near Yorkletts provides a beautiful woodland setting for exploring on foot. With its network of paths through the trees and open countryside, it’s a great choice for walkers looking to enjoy a quieter side of the Kent countryside.
